My oldest son is the most thoughtful and considerate child I have ever met. For Christmas, he made me a coupon book full of “coupons” that said “20 pictures.” He told me I could trade them in any time I wanted and for each one he would pose for 20 pictures :) When your Mom is a photographer, having your picture taken gets really old– so this was a great gift for me to receive! I used one of my coupons yesterday morning while we were stuck at home because of the snow/ice.. crazy hair, jammies, chapped face and all.. I just love him!

While going through images for the new website, I was reminded of so many favorites that I had forgotten about! I decided to make a “photo love” contest with some of these favorites for Valentine’s Day :) If I missed your session, please let me know so that I can look back to get one (I only went through so many files, but I will gladly find one of yours if you’d like to play!). The photos are here. If you aren’t already a fan of Beth Lessard Photography on Facebook, become one so that you can vote! All you need to do to vote is find your photo and click the “like” button. On February 14th, I will tally up the “likes” and determine the winner of the photo love contest! Suggest that your friends and family become fans so that they can vote for your picture as well! The winner will receive an 11×14 mounted print of the image ($65 value) and a free photo session ($125 value). Two “runner ups” will receive an 8×10 print of their image! Contest begins NOW- all votes through the end of the day on February 13th will count and I will announce the big winner on Valentine’s Day! You can only “like” your own photo once, so be sure to tell as many people as you can so that they can vote for you! Good luck!

I forgot how much fun a container of bubbles can be ;)

I’m just finishing up some proofing and thought I would share this sweet collage of all of the tiny details of baby Jack.

I have had several requests to photograph weddings over the past few years, and I have always declined on the basis that I was “not a wedding photographer.” Recently, I have started to regret turning down all of these opportunities. I AM a photographer and I would love to photograph your wedding! I have several years of professional photography experience, plenty of equipment and backup equipment should I need it, and even a willing assistant to second shoot with me. I simply need a couple willing to let me blow them away with my first wedding as a photographer :)

The very first couple that books with me will have the pleasure of having two wedding photographers, a magazine style proofing album with all wedding proofs, an online slideshow for sharing, an online gallery for ordering purposes, and all prints at a 50% discount. The total cost for ONE couple (the first one that books!) is only $500! I will offer the same package to the second and third couple for $1,000 and then I will raise the prices to be more competitive with other local wedding photographers. These packages do allow me to the opportunity to use images from your wedding in my portfolio and weddings must take place in the Middle Tennessee area.

Already married? Happily single? Please pass my info. along to your friends and relatives that may be looking for a wedding photographer! I will offer a free lifestyle session ($125 value) to anyone that refers me to someone that books/pays for a wedding!

UPDATE: Thank you to all of my wonderful clients that booked a session to be a part of the canvas giveaway! I look forward to seeing you all soon and creating some beautiful art for your walls!
To everyone else that missed out, check back for a new promotion soon! :)

I love canvas! To celebrate my new website and blog, I thought I would share my favorite product with you– I’m giving away five 16×24 canvases!! What do you have to do to win? Nothing! Just be one of the next five people to book a session and you win! I have a favorite canvas of my boys that hangs in my son’s nursery.. I snapped a few images of it to show you the beautiful detail of a canvas. Nothing matches the texture and even the back of it is pretty (the last image shows how they come ready to hang!). Hurry to be one of the first five to book and win! Canvases awarded on a first session payment received, first served basis. Booked sessions must take place before April of 2010. Thanks for sharing in the excitement of the new look at Beth Lessard Photography!

My last blog was “strictly business,” showing very little of my personal family pictures. As my business has grown and I’ve seen the same clients for session after session, year after year, I have built relationships and made friends. You invite me into your homes and allow me the privilege of photographing your most prized possessions, your children. For this, I am so thankful! I would like to start sharing some of my family with you on a regular basis. I’ll add these to the “personal” category :)

We took a walk this morning.. our youngest (1.5) seems to no longer walk, but he RUNS everywhere! He loves running alone and in his Daddy’s arms! I tried a different type of processing on the color image. I like it, my husband does not.. what do you think? Comment and tell me!

I was so excited to get an e-mail about maternity pictures from my oldest son’s kindergarten teacher! We haven’t seen her in a couple of years, and I enjoyed catching up with her while we took pictures. She’s due in just a few weeks, and I am really looking forward to photographing that sweet baby girl when she arrives! Even their dog is waiting anxiously to meet little baby Cooper :)

Jack is the third of three babies under three years old (!) and he already has the personality of a third child- he was laid back until he needed something and then he easily made his needs known! I just love newborn baby wrinkles and Jack had plenty for me to photograph.. could he be any cuter with his sweet sleeping baby smile!? Welcome to the world Jack!

Welcome

Thanks for your patience as I have been setting up my new website and blog. I am very excited about the changes I have made! Unfortunately, I was not able to transfer my old blog to this one. I will spend the next few days trying to publish some of those old posts so that this blog does not seem so empty. I also have a few new sessions to share! Check back frequently for updates!
