I had to do a lot of rearranging and postponing of my sessions this weekend due to the weather. I was able to squeeze this one in, and I’m so glad we did! We had a break in between stormy weather and more stormy weather- and that break was beautiful! I haven’t seen this little guy since his newborn session, and I was excited to see him again and to meet his new little sister. Aren’t they just adorable? She is at that happy “sit and take it all in” stage and he just turned two ;) I love the lollypop in the family picture– with the extra big ‘cheese’ face.. such a picture of a two year old!

I took pictures of JP a couple of weeks ago, and yesterday I got to see him again for a session with his cousin. JP and Elliott are two days apart and they recently celebrated their first birthdays! JP, having just had a photo session, was not at all interested in sitting still for pictures. He had things to do! Elliott was the total opposite- he sat nicely and even “posed” on his own with his little legs crossed! Aren’t they just adorable!? They are going to have so much fun growing up together- how fun to be the exact same age!

Someone gave my baby a goofball haircut.. I’m so glad that I know it will grow back soon. I do wish I could rewind, cut it myself and save the money and experience ;)

This is a brand new product (new to me, new to you, and new to the company that prints them!). I ordered one to check it out and see if it was worth offering to you. I love it! It’s shiny (it almost looks as if the image was printed on glass), it stands out, it’s different.. and of course, it will have your baby (or family, or yourself, or whoever you want) on it! These are a great alternative to canvas.. I know a canvas splurge isn’t always in the budget- this is another different way to display your favorite image. I need to order one with a storyboard (series of images in a row) on it– it would be perfect for that! For now, enjoy these two pictures to give you an idea of what I’m talking about..

I have become friends with many of my clients (and have many clients that were friends first!), which is exactly the way I want things to be. I’m not a pushy person at all, and I want my clients to trust that I have their best interests in mind. I have been taking pictures of these adorable kids for years (former baby plan baby + some years!), and I have literally watched them grow up. I love catching up with their great Mom during their sessions, and I love these two monkeys. I could post lots more from our session this afternoon (great day for outdoor pictures!), but I am so tired.. this will have to be the sneak peek for now. Aren’t they just the cutest?!

Meet beautiful Olivia. Her parents and big sister (and lots of other people!) have been waiting to meet her and she’s finally here! She was born just over a week ago, and I went to their house this afternoon for Olivia’s newborn session. This was the first session of her baby plan. Olivia’s big sister was a baby plan baby, and I’m so glad to be going back to their house again regularly for pictures. Don’t you just love her sweet, chubby cheeks? She was such a good girl too.. just perfect!

Mom with her two sweet girls- doesn’t she look amazing?!

I love these details.. the peely newborn skin and tiny fingernails..

Look at those cheeks.. and her little lips!

I met these adorable little ones this morning for a newborn session and some family pictures. Big brother has gorgeous eyelashes (see below) and beautiful eyes. He was so wonderful with his baby sister, especially for a guy as young as he is. Look at the way he’s holding her so gently- I love it! Little sister wasn’t exactly interested in sleeping for any of her session, but she did give me a few glimpses of her eyelids here and there. Isn’t she beautiful- so tiny! I know she’s going to have lots of fun with her big brother as she grows up!

I think we can call this a “newborn smile”.. so sweet.

I photographed baby I– by himself– a couple of weeks ago. We had to divide his newborn session into two so that we could get some pictures with his family, but we also needed to get those sleepy curly newborn pictures while he was still.. well, sleepy and curly :) I went back for the family pictures this morning, and I was amazed to see how much he’s grown in just a couple of weeks. He has some super cute cheeks, he’s lost a little of his newborn hair, and he was so alert! His big brother could not be any more adorable- funny, sweet, and look at that smile! This is so sweet.. look at his little two year old self “shhhhh-ing” his crying brother.. I love it.

Yesterday was ‘brudders’ (brothers) birthday, so my little guy and I packed up a million cupcakes and headed to the elementary school for lunch. Passing out cupcakes, watching my monkey of a toddler, and visiting with my birthday boy didn’t leave too much time for picture taking– but I did snap this one and I love it. It’s not perfect, but it’s my boys on a special day.

This is Maxwell. Several years ago, I worked for his Mom (if you ever need a family law attorney- she’s wonderful!), and I’ve been looking forward to taking some pictures of her adorable boy. Maxwell is two years old and he acted just as his age would have you imagine.. I saw lots of the back of his head! ;) His gorgeous brown eyes and sweet little smile.. totally worth waiting for! We ended up finding a little stream and letting him drop rocks in the water- he was thrilled (all boy!) and so was I. I just love his little surprised face as he dropped rocks and the water splashed on his feet!

Those eyelashes!
