About

January 12, 2010

With the birth of my oldest son, I began to develop an interest in photography. It became my means for capturing the moments of his childhood that I hoped I would never forget. I wanted to look back and remember his tiny, wrinkled body as a newborn. I hoped to capture the exact moment he used his entire body to belly laugh as a top heavy baby. I needed to have photographs to remind me of the ever so determined look he had as he began to wobble and walk just after his first birthday. I wanted to capture the essence of his being and glimpse into his soul, as time carried on against my pleas for it to pause. Time stopped through the images I was able to capture of him. I am now able to close my eyes and smell the clean baby just after his bath. I’m able to laugh again at the sight of him just after jumping into a mud puddle. I have memories of his baby days as vivid as though they just happened yesterday. As a photographer, I hope to give you images of your children that will allow you to close your eyes and “remember when..” until you are old. I want to capture the essence of your child through the images of their life as they unfold. My goal is that you will walk away with photographs to display in your home, but most importantly, that you will have photographs to treasure as they will be your link to remembering the fleeting moments of today.
