This is Olivia, and she has had these adorably squishy cheeks from the moment she was born. She is the picture of the chubby, happy baby that everyone loves. Olivia’s big sister was a baby plan baby and now it’s Olivia’s turn. We tried to do a little bit of copying from some of big sister’s three month shots and we spent some time outside (wow, is it hot today!). Look here to see how much Olivia has grown in just a few short months! I can’t wait to see her next for six month pictures :)

Olivia in “her chair”.. we’re using this for scale each session.. and seriously, if you don’t love those baby rolls..

Big sister at 3 months (two years ago already!)..

Olivia’s version of the same shot.. she wasn’t as interested in this as we had hoped ;)

Big sister..

I had the pleasure of meeting this gorgeous couple for maternity pictures yesterday evening. Mom is just beautiful.. can you believe she is due in just four weeks!? She looks amazing! They were naturals in front of the camera and look.. even their dogs knew just how to act for my camera ;) Hopefully we can pull off a similar family picture with a sweet baby girl on the outside in just a few weeks!

Dad plays for baby :)

I had her stand in front of the window- the light was beautiful.. I love evening sun.

We were taking some pictures in the nursery and baby started moving.. Dad had to stop to feel her moving around. I love that..

I love these kids. It works out well because their mom is great about setting up regular sessions, so I get to see them frequently :) This session was a special session with special guests. Their grandparents are in town visiting, so I was able to take a few images of them with their adorable grandchildren. I even stopped on the way to my car to take a few shots of something other than the usual.. and wow, plants are so easy to photograph.. no running, hiding, or crying from that pretty thing ;)

Little monkey :)

I love that she is holding her little baby- such a sweet (gorgeous!) girl.

This is one of my favorite families.. and they’re moving :( This was our third session and just when I thought their little guy couldn’t possibly be any cuter- he is! Look at those curls and big, gorgeous eyes! We enjoyed a fun morning at the park yesterday. A family- I’m sad to see you all leave Nashville, but I’m looking forward to seeing you again for more pictures this fall in DC (with your two year old!).

Happy First Birthday Baby A!! I just love this baby, and I can’t believe she’s already one! She had us laughing nearly the entire time I was at her house today. This was my fifth session with her (I’ll say it again, I can not believe she’s already one!), and her baby plan is now complete. It is amazing how fast that first year goes by. She was just as happy and laid back as she’s always been and we got lots of great shots! I had no idea how to pick for the blog– they are all just adorable.. so here are a few in a set of many. :) Enjoy!

Can you find the baby? I love how she still looks so tiny in her room.. even if she is a big one year old now..

Search back to find her “chair pictures” from her previous sessions.. she wasn’t as willing to sit still for this round ;) We got some of her sweet face, but I love this one of her hiding from us.

Happy Mother’s Day! This year, my little boys gave me a wonderful gift. They gave me a few minutes of time in a park at sunset while I had my camera! I love the sweet shot of them walking together through the field, it’s truly ‘picture perfect’.. but really, my favorite shot is the one of my littlest guy dangling around his brother’s neck while he tries so hard to give him ‘just one more kiss’ because that’s what Mommy asked him to do. Big brother was finished with the kisses.. it’s perfect- it is a picture that tells the story, shows their personalities, and it will look great on a canvas on my wall :) Thanks boys!

I took pictures of JP a couple of weeks ago, and yesterday I got to see him again for a session with his cousin. JP and Elliott are two days apart and they recently celebrated their first birthdays! JP, having just had a photo session, was not at all interested in sitting still for pictures. He had things to do! Elliott was the total opposite- he sat nicely and even “posed” on his own with his little legs crossed! Aren’t they just adorable!? They are going to have so much fun growing up together- how fun to be the exact same age!

I have become friends with many of my clients (and have many clients that were friends first!), which is exactly the way I want things to be. I’m not a pushy person at all, and I want my clients to trust that I have their best interests in mind. I have been taking pictures of these adorable kids for years (former baby plan baby + some years!), and I have literally watched them grow up. I love catching up with their great Mom during their sessions, and I love these two monkeys. I could post lots more from our session this afternoon (great day for outdoor pictures!), but I am so tired.. this will have to be the sneak peek for now. Aren’t they just the cutest?!

I met these adorable little ones this morning for a newborn session and some family pictures. Big brother has gorgeous eyelashes (see below) and beautiful eyes. He was so wonderful with his baby sister, especially for a guy as young as he is. Look at the way he’s holding her so gently- I love it! Little sister wasn’t exactly interested in sleeping for any of her session, but she did give me a few glimpses of her eyelids here and there. Isn’t she beautiful- so tiny! I know she’s going to have lots of fun with her big brother as she grows up!

I think we can call this a “newborn smile”.. so sweet.

This is Maxwell. Several years ago, I worked for his Mom (if you ever need a family law attorney- she’s wonderful!), and I’ve been looking forward to taking some pictures of her adorable boy. Maxwell is two years old and he acted just as his age would have you imagine.. I saw lots of the back of his head! ;) His gorgeous brown eyes and sweet little smile.. totally worth waiting for! We ended up finding a little stream and letting him drop rocks in the water- he was thrilled (all boy!) and so was I. I just love his little surprised face as he dropped rocks and the water splashed on his feet!

Those eyelashes!
