Miss Cooper is already six months old (look back to find her birth, newborn, and three month sessions!). The weather is just beautiful today, so we took Cooper outside to show her off sitting in the grass. She wasn’t as happy about it as we had hoped (didn’t mind the grass, just wasn’t interested in pictures by this point), but we got some sweet shots. Cooper has gorgeous (big and blue!) eyes, the best “cabbage patch” hair, and a gummy… +1 new tooth.. smile! I can’t wait to see her again in just a few months for her nine month session. Based on the moving and shaking she was doing for this session.. I bet she’s crawling before I see her again!

I have another pretty newborn to share– and look at that head full of hair! She even has gorgeous long eyelashes to match her stunning head of dark hair. I’m on a roll with “good newborns” this week.. I’ve had two now that gave me some sleeping time and some awake time and both stayed pretty content throughout the entire session. I can’t ask for much more than that! It wasn’t long ago that I did maternity pictures for this couple, and I was so excited to meet their daughter. She didn’t disappoint- perfect in every way. Congrats again Mom and Dad!

I have the best job. I just returned from a wonderful vacation to Vermont (thank you to everyone for your patience with scheduling, etc. while I was gone!), and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect face for my first session after returning home. This sweet girl is just under two weeks old and she was a dream. She slept for a bit at the beginning of our session, and finished it off wide awake and content! You can’t ask for much more than that. Welcome to the world Baby M – you are just perfect!
I love tiny newborns in their cribs.. it makes a great scale image.
Look at that eye contact! She found her Mom, and she wasn’t going to take her eyes off of her!

It wasn’t too long ago that I took maternity pictures for this gorgeous mom. Baby Nora is just over a week old now, and she showed me a perfect newborn session this afternoon. Seriously, she has beautiful skin, she smiles in her sleep, she slept like an angel- letting me move her all around, and she’s 9+ pounds of squishy, newborn perfection. I was so excited to come home and see the images on the big screen.. I’m having a hard time deciding which ones to share, but I know her Mom and Dad are waiting to see.. Welcome to the world Nora!
I took a picture of her hand (you know, because I love those tiny details) and when I opened up the shot.. look at her little lips. She was sleeping, not crying at all.. dreaming perhaps?

This is one of my favorite families.. and they’re moving 
This was our third session and just when I thought their little guy couldn’t possibly be any cuter- he is! Look at those curls and big, gorgeous eyes! We enjoyed a fun morning at the park yesterday. A family- I’m sad to see you all leave Nashville, but I’m looking forward to seeing you again for more pictures this fall in DC (with your two year old!).

I’ve been waiting a few months to meet these adorable sisters, and I finally got to meet them this afternoon. They happen to live in my neighborhood, which worked out nicely We were able to shoot a bit at their house and then we headed to the neighborhood clubhouse for some outdoor shots. Big sister was amazingly patient for a three year old and little sister.. completely fearless! Aren’t they beautiful?!

Looking out the window, it’s hard to believe I took these pictures just last night. It sure is wet out there today! We went outside to play before dinner yesterday, and I took a few pictures of the boys playing together. There is a big age difference between my boys and while they get along wonderfully, it is sometimes hard to find things they both enjoy. This is one of them.. big brother loves to run as fast as he can pushing (in the car that was his when he was just a little guy!). Baby brother loves the ride. It’s a true win win

I had to do a lot of rearranging and postponing of my sessions this weekend due to the weather. I was able to squeeze this one in, and I’m so glad we did! We had a break in between stormy weather and more stormy weather- and that break was beautiful! I haven’t seen this little guy since his newborn session, and I was excited to see him again and to meet his new little sister. Aren’t they just adorable? She is at that happy “sit and take it all in” stage and he just turned two 
I love the lollypop in the family picture– with the extra big ‘cheese’ face.. such a picture of a two year old!

I photographed baby I– by himself– a couple of weeks ago. We had to divide his newborn session into two so that we could get some pictures with his family, but we also needed to get those sleepy curly newborn pictures while he was still.. well, sleepy and curly I went back for the family pictures this morning, and I was amazed to see how much he’s grown in just a couple of weeks. He has some super cute cheeks, he’s lost a little of his newborn hair, and he was so alert! His big brother could not be any more adorable- funny, sweet, and look at that smile! This is so sweet.. look at his little two year old self “shhhhh-ing” his crying brother.. I love it.

Meet adorable, red headed, blue eyed JP. He will celebrate his first birthday this week (he shares a birthday with my oldest son!), and I had the honor of documenting this time in JP’s life. The first set of images is such a great representation of my style. I love that it is true to life– showing JP’s movement as he speed crawls to the bathroom at the sound of the bath water. And of course, I love the one of him with his Mom.. I always love sweet baby and Mommy shots! Happy Birthday JP– best wishes for another wonderful year for you!
