Miss Cooper is already six months old (look back to find her birth, newborn, and three month sessions!). The weather is just beautiful today, so we took Cooper outside to show her off sitting in the grass. She wasn’t as happy about it as we had hoped (didn’t mind the grass, just wasn’t interested in pictures by this point), but we got some sweet shots. Cooper has gorgeous (big and blue!) eyes, the best “cabbage patch” hair, and a gummy… +1 new tooth.. smile! I can’t wait to see her again in just a few months for her nine month session. Based on the moving and shaking she was doing for this session.. I bet she’s crawling before I see her again!

Look here to see her three month size comparison here.. she’s growing fast!

Look at those bright, happy eyes!

I have another pretty newborn to share– and look at that head full of hair! She even has gorgeous long eyelashes to match her stunning head of dark hair. I’m on a roll with “good newborns” this week.. I’ve had two now that gave me some sleeping time and some awake time and both stayed pretty content throughout the entire session. I can’t ask for much more than that! It wasn’t long ago that I did maternity pictures for this couple, and I was so excited to meet their daughter. She didn’t disappoint- perfect in every way. Congrats again Mom and Dad!

When I arrived, this is what I saw.. bright eyed and hanging out in her Daddy’s lap:

I love the “before” and “after” comparison in this chair.. hard to believe there were just a few weeks between each image!

I have the best job. I just returned from a wonderful vacation to Vermont (thank you to everyone for your patience with scheduling, etc. while I was gone!), and I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect face for my first session after returning home. This sweet girl is just under two weeks old and she was a dream. She slept for a bit at the beginning of our session, and finished it off wide awake and content! You can’t ask for much more than that. Welcome to the world Baby M – you are just perfect!

I love tiny newborns in their cribs.. it makes a great scale image.

Look at that eye contact! She found her Mom, and she wasn’t going to take her eyes off of her!

I had the pleasure of meeting these two beautiful girls this morning for a newborn session. Big sister is just adorable and little sister is a tiny five day old peanut. Big sister helped me go through my things while little sister ate, ate, and ate some more ;) She was a hungry girl with no time for photos! We did well though- our patience paid off. Aren’t they just perfect?

I love this one.. how sweet of her at the age of two.. to try to comfort her brand new sister.

I snapped this one of big sister while Mom was in the other room feeding the baby.. we were playing with her balloon..

I love her tiny, peely, newborn hands.

I had a session with this gorgeous family a few weeks ago. The little ones just weren’t feeling 100%, so we decided to have a “part two” of their session. We ended up with a lot of cute individual shots last time, but we didn’t have too much luck with a family picture and that was what we needed for a canvas order. I’m so happy to say that today was a big success in that regard- we have family shots with everyone looking and smiling.. and with a two year old and a baby- that’s huge!

Lucy’s nursery is absolutely beautiful.

I love the trains and lovey that made their way into most of the pictures.. that is so wonderfully age appropriate :)

This is Wyler, and he’s brand new. Isn’t he precious? His Mom was so sweet- she let me hold him for a bit and oh my goodness.. he really is cute enough to make you want another of your own! He wasn’t sure he wanted to sleep for me, but he nursed enough to change his mind and we were good to go ;) Welcome to the world sweet boy- it was so great to meet you and your family today!

Flaky newborn skin.. awww..

Happy First Birthday Baby A!! I just love this baby, and I can’t believe she’s already one! She had us laughing nearly the entire time I was at her house today. This was my fifth session with her (I’ll say it again, I can not believe she’s already one!), and her baby plan is now complete. It is amazing how fast that first year goes by. She was just as happy and laid back as she’s always been and we got lots of great shots! I had no idea how to pick for the blog– they are all just adorable.. so here are a few in a set of many. :) Enjoy!

Can you find the baby? I love how she still looks so tiny in her room.. even if she is a big one year old now..

Search back to find her “chair pictures” from her previous sessions.. she wasn’t as willing to sit still for this round ;) We got some of her sweet face, but I love this one of her hiding from us.

Happy Mother’s Day! This year, my little boys gave me a wonderful gift. They gave me a few minutes of time in a park at sunset while I had my camera! I love the sweet shot of them walking together through the field, it’s truly ‘picture perfect’.. but really, my favorite shot is the one of my littlest guy dangling around his brother’s neck while he tries so hard to give him ‘just one more kiss’ because that’s what Mommy asked him to do. Big brother was finished with the kisses.. it’s perfect- it is a picture that tells the story, shows their personalities, and it will look great on a canvas on my wall :) Thanks boys!

This is Cooper. Cooper’s Mom is very funny, as you can tell from Cooper’s face in the first picture! I love the way babies laugh at their parents :) Cooper is three months old now (search back a couple of months to find her birth and newborn pictures) and she could not be cuter. Three months can be a hard age for pictures.. not really curly or sleepy and not yet sitting up. However, I think it’s just as important to get three month pictures as it is any other time in a babies first year. It is the beginning of the “baby” faces, the end of the super tiny legs and feet, and the beginning of the adorable chubby cheeks and the amazed eyes as they are starting to take in the world. This is the time when they really start to develop a personality, and I can’t imagine missing it!

Look at the way she crosses her little legs- she was born crossing them like that and still does! We had to get a shot of this for Mom to remember by.. so girly!

This is a brand new product (new to me, new to you, and new to the company that prints them!). I ordered one to check it out and see if it was worth offering to you. I love it! It’s shiny (it almost looks as if the image was printed on glass), it stands out, it’s different.. and of course, it will have your baby (or family, or yourself, or whoever you want) on it! These are a great alternative to canvas.. I know a canvas splurge isn’t always in the budget- this is another different way to display your favorite image. I need to order one with a storyboard (series of images in a row) on it– it would be perfect for that! For now, enjoy these two pictures to give you an idea of what I’m talking about..
